Under NCC 2019 it is not possible to use JV3 for Class 2 (apartment) buildings. However, under NCC 2022 (will be adopted from May 2023 in Victoria), apartment buildings can also use Verification Method (J1V5). J1V5 method is basically the same method as JV3, but is intended for Class 2 apartment buildings. Using J1V5 assessment method, you can also reduce construction costs compared to DTS method.
