Both JV3 report and DTS report are energy reports. They are both pathways and methods for achieving compliance with the Performance Requirements of Section J. However, there are several points of difference between these two types of reports:
- It takes less time to conduct a DTS report
- DTS reports are less expensive than JV3 reports
- JV3 allows for flexibility to go beyond DTS provisions, which are rigid in nature
- Using JV3 assessment method, you can use Solar PV and other renewable technologies to your benefit
- JV3 report involves documentation of 3D modelling parameters
- A Professional ESD consultant is required to undertake JV3 assessment using a commercial modelling software
